YCT TEST

HOW MANY LEVELS ARE THERE FOR THE YCT EXAM?

The YCT exam consists of 4 levels:

  • Students who have completed the YCT Level I can understand and use commonly used Chinese words and sentences, and can continue further Chinese language studies.

  • Students who have graduated from YCT Level II can understand and use some simple Chinese words and phrases, and are able to meet the demand for communication in certain situations.

  • Students who have graduated from YCT Level III can use Mandarin to communicate and understand a variety of conversation topics

  • Students who have passed the YCT Level IV can use Mandarin to complete basic communication tasks in life and learning. They can also communicate well while traveling in China.

HOW LONG IS THE YCT CERTIFICATE VALID FOR?

The certificate is valid for 2 years.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE YCT EXAM HELD?

YCT exams are held several times a year in major cities in Indonesia simultaneously. This year, CHIS School Bali will hold both HSK, HSKK and YCT examinations on 26 October 2019. Registration will open on 29 July 2019 and closes on 31 August 2019 at 15.00. The test format this October will be paper test.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TAKE THE HSK EXAM?

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE YCT EXAM?

1. Download and fill in the registration form.

 

2. Provide 1 copy of your identity card. Identity cards that can be used are as follows: passport, ID card, student ID or birth certificate. During the day of the examination the participant MUST bring the original identity card that is stated at the time of registration.

 

3. Pay the exam fee and submit the registration form along with a photocopy of the identity card to the CHIS School.

Registration closes on 31August 2019 at 15.00.

WHAT IS THE YCT TEST?

The YCT (Youth Chinese Test) exam is an internationally recognized standard of Chinese language proficiency test for elementary school students. This exam aims to evaluate Mandarin being used during learning and in the daily lives of students who are non-native speakers.
