Halloween, Lets Take Break From Study


Wednesday (10/31), the atmosphere at CHIS School seemed to be different from the usual. Students, even teachers, arrived in various unique costumes and makeup to enliven our Halloween festivities. This 2018 Halloween was filled with a variety of fun and exciting events, ranging from games to various brilliant performances. In addition, there were also class decorating competitions, mummy wrapping races, and the best costume competition.

At 08.00 WITA, the Halloween party began with classroom decorating as well as the team costume competition. This competition involved 2 winners based on the results of the judge's decision and based on the photos with the most likes that have been uploaded on @sekolahchisbali’s Instagram. Each class was decorated as uniquely as possible, and each chose a different theme. Class X IPA I used the minions theme, class X IPA II were robbers, and class X IPS chose a pirates and Egyptians theme. Meanwhile, the XI IPA class explored theme of exorcism, XII IPA I chose a random theme, XII IPA II were scary clowns, and XII IPS creeped us all out with their death theme.

The classroom decorating competition was then followed by a party in the school hall. The party began with our high school band performing the song Hysteria, and was continued with the mummy wrapping competition which was won by class X IPA II. Then, the party continued with a dance performance by Nobu, Noval, and Gus Andre. After that, there was the Fear Factors game that was then followed the band's Foo Fighters rendition. In addition, there were also musical performances by Disc Jockey (DJ) Vian, a song by the Cranberries from the band, and continued with dance performances from Mita, Amanda, Jennyco, and Atara. The series of events ended with an announcement of the winners of the classroom decorating , competition, namely class XI IPA, with approximately 1,200 likers. They received pizza and cake as their prizes.
